First Black Yogi Day in South LA 2016
Blessed with the opportunity to feed this wonderful group of people. #pattyman
Lara Diane Rann:This was wonderful. I am so proud of the two powerful and beautiful young ladies (Wolley Ross and Oh Thank Heaven) who founded Black Yogi Day and I am grateful for all who came through, showed up, and showed out! I felt loved, supported, and healed.
Miriam Pierce McPherson: I am so grateful to have met such a gathering of beautiful souls at today's event! I am thankful for the vision of Lauren Wolley Ross and Oh Thank Heaven. Thank you for holding the space for so many, like myself, to share among each other and the community. There were so many authentic souls there...and it was a pleasure to meet each and every one of you! I thoroughly enjoyed the people, food, drumming, music and movement. It was an amazing day! Looking forward to more in the community like this one! I was honored to be here among you all! Thank you!#BLACKYOGIDAY2016 #COMMUNITY #HEALINGYOGI
Saat-Rai Amnwt: This was truly a "Press Worthy" event and I felt the loving, healing vibration from ALL of the presenters, vendor's, the watoto & drummers. Thank you Oh Thank Heaven & Wolley Ross for including me in your sharing ~#Succees#BlackYogaDay2016 #ProudBlackCommunity
Baba's Vegan Cafe Pop Up
We have been apart of the Bananas family for years now. It is always a blessing to be able to share with people life affirming food through our vegan pop up. They love the "Patties" and catching more of a buzz, the vegan chili cheese fritos. We occasionally come out with a veggie plates for those who work up an appetite. Many of the event participants and guests appreciate the options we provide. Below is a slideshow of some patrons who came by and loved our selection this past Bananas event. This month I came out with the bananas pudding with homemade wafers. I came with the new flavor, the berry bananas pudding which is a great fusion, and the crowd went wild.
Make sure you come out Sundays 3-7 in Leimert Park, or keep up with the events and show out. #veganturnip with #pattyman

Baba's Vegan Cafe Pop Up in Leimert Park
It is important to me to have a space where people can come and congregate. We come out to Leimert Park every Sunday 3pm -8pm to provide a healthy vegan alternative for our community. It is a great cultural community in Los Angeles where you can shop with local artists. We welcome you and your family to our drum circle and festival. #pattyman This is my cousin Imani, coming from the LAX supporting and spending time, my brother Tafarai Bayne, and my mother Imani Afi, who has been African dancing and drumming in Leimert Park since I was a little one.
Working on raising funds to get a space in the Leimert Park area. Come through to our Vegan Pop Up and order PATTIES throughout the week and for upcoming events.

Straight Talk No Chaser L.A.
If you could ask a group of men any question and he had to tell the truth, what would you ask?
Straight Talk No Chaser is a talk-show styled, town hall meeting where six committed and single men are put under oath and are are aksed a series of provocative questions about courting, commitment and cheating, by an all female audience.
The purpose of this event is to bring more clarity and understanding of the mind of a man, so women can make better informed decisions when it comes to dating and committed relationships.
BONUS: The panel will be followed by networking mixer where you can support women-owned businesses, who will be vending on the premises. Also, one lucky lady will be handpicked to go on a date with one of our single panelist.
Can you handle the truth? If so, come join us Saturday, August 13 at the Event Center in Los Angeles, near LAX, 7-11pm (Doors open at 6pm).
" Low End Theory has often played the role of L.A.'s sole hip-hop night, but beats there generally take precedence over lyrics. Recently, Bananas has emerged as L.A.'s best unadulterated rap night. Hosted by venerated L.A. indie rapper VerBS and rapper-producer K. Solar, Bananas is held on the third Tuesday of every month at Kaos Network, a small performing arts center founded by L.A. filmmaker Ben Caldwell. Located in the heart of Leimert Park, the same neighborhood where storied open-mic nights at the Good Life Café took place, the venue is usually packed wall-to-wall with a lively and eclectic mix of friends, fans and performers. It gets hot inside, but you can step out to cool off anytime. Like Project Blowed before it, the monthly is both a breeding ground and a sanctuary, featuring performances from rising rappers such as Hugh Augustine and established acts like Nocando. Earlier this year, Kendrick Lamar stopped by. You probably should, too. " -LA Weekly
By far one of the most unique events in the city for Hip-Hop heads, indie and alternative punks and more. Bananas is an event that happens at a former legendary proving ground in Los Angeles. Every 3rd Tuesday we're preserving culture, and providing a space for talented individuals to perform and reach a new crowd. This is where the real fans are. This party overflows onto the street due to the venue being packed, but you can still catch a ton of action on the block party side of things, with multiple freestyling ciphers, an open mic inbetween each set, live djs and producers pumping out beats, bands, photographers, emcees, vocalists, artists and more. There's no reason why you're *NOT* at this amazing gathering that only happens once a month.
We were asked to come in on a day and give a presentation. It was so much fun interacting and conversing about eating and health. I believe it is a conversation the opens the minds of others to see that there are certain stigmas and labels that detour people from understanding diet and health. Like what it is to be vegan, and the differences between a vegan and a vegetarian. Answering the simple question, "What do I eat, breakfast, lunch, and dinner?"
After we talked. We fed the girls vegan chili with brown rice , vegan veggie patties and a side salad. #vegan
So proud of my girl for her commitment to these girls empowering them and providing them with opportunities for expanding their consciousness and having divine overstanding their role as young wombyn in this world. I am most grateful for having the honor to see her grow in a year as well watch this unsuspecting relationship unfold and blossom. It's interesting as we may have different religious beliefs but it is our character and the intention we put behind our daily acts that bind us and allow us to find common ground. Giving thanks for the love that is unfolding for us and these girls and the girls around the world who will get to experience the Rise Up experience.#sistarsworkingtogethaforourfuture #getfree #yogicoalition#thruguidanceriseup
